Professor Vincenzo Mollace, MD, is credited for discovering the properties of bergamot juice in experimental models of vascular injury in 2006, launching him to become the worldwide leader in bergamot research. Professor Mollace is currently Professor of Pharmacology and Director at the Research Center for Food Safety and Health at the University of Magna Graecia of Catanzaro (Italy). He earned his Doctor of Medicine degree at the University of Messina, Italy, in 1983, and completed his residency in Cardiology at the University of Milan, Italy, in 1987.
